A Build & Fly Model Rocketry Workshop

Here is your chance to get started in a fun and exciting hobby. This workshop is suitable for kids ages 8 to 12. We will help the kids build a rocket and then fly it. The fee includes a model rocket kit and motors. Rocket construction will take place at the Leonhard Center in the morning regardless of the weather. If the weather and time permit we may be able to have the kids fly their rockets at least once in the field next to the Leonhard Center. There will also be flying at Dodds Park during the afternoon if the weather is acceptable. If the weather is bad on this day we will be holding additional launches at Dodds Park over the next several months when the kids will be able to fly their rockets.
