Central Illinois Aerospace holds two different types of meetings.

On the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm members gather, usually at the Springer Center (at the corner of Randolph and Church) in Champaign, to discuss upcoming events. There is usually some type of presentation on a topic useful to all rocketeers. Past presentations have included model rocket painting and finishing techniques, rocket electronics, radio control, rocket glider construction and flying, laws and regulations that govern our hobby, contest strategy and making the transition to high-power. Sometimes we watch a video about real rocketry. Here are the topics for upcoming meetings. Many members continue the meeting with a late dinner at a downtown restaurant afterwards.

The third Tuesday of each month at 7 pm is a business meeting. This meeting is mostly for the board members to get together and hash out schedules, logistics, and other important items that keep the club running smoothly. We work out contest details, special awards for members, plan the launch schedule and arrange who will handle all the paperwork for insurance, FAA forms and such. However, all members are welcome at the business meetings as we also like to relax, eat pizza and discuss model rockets. These meetings are generally held at Papa Del's Pizza, 1201 S. Neil in Champaign.

For a schedule of events for the year, see the Operations page.
